Review Rating: 5 Stars –

We’re All Heroes is a story about trust, survival, and forgiveness. All the characters in this story are selfless, and they put their needs before others. Lauren is kind and does not hesitate to protect and sacrifice for others. She and Jake have great chemistry, and their steamy moments made me blush. The three children, Natasha, Paul, and Nicky, were adorable, and I loved their squeals and excitement whenever they were given good news. They left a war-torn land, and I was happy that they got a chance to enjoy their childhood in peace. The book has a great plot and smooth flow, which make it an enjoyable read. Mona Risk brought all the characters to life with her amazing writing skills. I recommend this book to anyone who loves reading romance novels with a realistic plot that centers on current events.
